Accessibility
We want everyone who needs this site to be able to use it, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or a magnifier.

The standard
We aim for this site to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2. Every page is tested with an automated checker at desktop and phone widths before it is published, and our key pages are tested by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader.
What we have done
- Text and backgrounds meet the contrast the guidelines require.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip to the main content.
- Every drawing has a text description, and the search timeline is also given as a list.
- Pages work without JavaScript, except the Register sign-in and the forms’ confirmation messages.
- Nothing on the site moves, flashes or plays sound.
Known limitations
Our PDFs were prepared for printing and are not fully tagged for screen readers. The text of the Residence Code and of our terms of business is also published as ordinary web pages. If you need a document in another format, ask, and we will send it.
